Premium Hanwoo chuck roll sourced from Jeju Island, South Korea, known for its clean environment and high-quality cattle rearing. Hanwoo beef is prized for its deep, savoury flavour and naturally tender bite, offering a distinct character compared to Japanese Wagyu. Sliced for shabu shabu, the chuck roll becomes beautifully tender when briefly swished in hot broth, releasing a rich beef aroma and clean, satisfying umami. Balanced, flavourful, and refined, it is best enjoyed with light dipping sauces to complement its natural depth and gentle marbling.

Hanwoo Beef
Hanwoo is Korea’s most prized native beef breed, renowned for its deep flavour, clean finish, and naturally balanced marbling. Raised with careful attention to diet and environment, Hanwoo cattle produce beef that is less fatty than Japanese Wagyu but highly aromatic and intensely savoury. The result is a rich, beef-forward profile with pronounced umami, subtle sweetness, and a firm yet tender texture. Often described as a perfect balance between lean beef character and refined indulgence, Hanwoo is especially valued for grilling and hot pot dishes where its natural depth and complexity can be fully appreciated.

Chuck Roll

Our Korean Hanwoo ribeye roll (or simply "chuck eye") is one of the most tastiest pieces of meats available, it has an extremely high marbling content unlike normal chucks which not only give it a beefy taste and texture but also the same buttery melt in your mouth experience we have all come to know and love about Korean Hanwoo.


A4 Wagyu has more meat to fat ratio compared to our A5 Wagyu, this means that it has a stronger wagyu beef fat flavor profile. For those who LOVE good mix of fatty and meaty beef like we do, this is a must!

To Defrost / To Store

    1. Leave in the fridge for 1-2 hours 
    2. Leave under running water for 30min
    3. Do Not re-freeze after it has thawed and defrosted.
    4. Once defrosted, keep refrigerated and consume within 3 days.
