Hokkaido is a leading pork producing region in Japan. Known for it's nutrient rich land and coasts, almost all produce that originated from Hokkaido is always prized and of high quality.
Through careful crossbreeding, the Yume no Daichi Pork is careful mix between the Duroc, Large Yorkshire, Landrace and Berkshire pork varieties. This mix of the 4 breeds results in a silky smooth texture of the meats which are clean in taste.
Yume no Daichi piglets are raised on sustainable vegetable farms where there is careful management of the ecosystem. The manure from the livestock are carefully and slowly fermented to be used for fertilizers for the agriculture. This allows for farmers to use less artificial fertilizers. The result is a sustainable integrated system between livestock and agricultural farming.
The Yume no Daichi pork are raised in a stress free environment where sanitary control is strict. Through careful feed, the Yume no Daichi Pork has a very clean and sweet taste with silky smooth fats. The fats have a low melting temperature leading to a melt in your mouth umami experience.
