Please note: This Ikura is non-seasoned, it must be seasoned and marinated before consumption. We recommend seasoning with Salt, Mirin or Shoyu.
This particular type of ikura is the most premium available in the market, they are not seasoned and flash frozen from the source. This allows home cooks and chefs to season the ikura to their taste and liking! This ikura is the closest we can get to the fresh Sujiko available only during winter! Sourced directly from the states, our non-seasoned Ikura is (AAA grade) and is amongst the best you can find.
Salmon ikura is different compared to Trout ikura in a few ways:
- Salmon ikura is relatively larger in size compared to Trout ikura
- Salmon ikura has a thicker skin so it pops better in the mouth
- Salmon ikura has more briny taste
Fish Eggs are very high in Omega-3 fatty acids and are a rich source of Vitamin B-12. Crucial for proper brain function, Omega-3 fatty acids also helps improve eye health.
This brand of ikura is not marinated or preserved, it is naturally frozen without any salt or shoyu. This allows us to taste and enjoy the natural flavours of ikura, and gives chef the chance to innovate and come up with new and innovative taste profiles.

To Defrost / To Store
- Leave in the fridge for 24 hours OR
- Leave under running water for 30min
- Do Not re-freeze Ikura after it has thawed and defrosted.
- Once defrosted, keep refrigerated and consume within 5 days.
