Koya Brewery (Koya Shuzo) is a historic Japanese sake brewery in Yamagata, established in 1593, for local Daimyo lords of the time. Koya Kinu (絹) or Silk is famous for its clean and smooth finish. Drinkers are often amazed by its smooth and soft texture. Koya Shuzo uses local ingredients from the snow-rich region of Yamagata to create a fruity, soft, and traditional taste, often enjoyed chilled.
Koya Brewery is one of the oldest breweries in Japan, with over 400 years of brewing experience and tradition. Located in the snowy Okurayama area of Mogami County, Yamagata Prefecture, a region known for its pristine water sources.
