La Brújula Small Squids in Ink Sauce – Chipirones Rellenos tinta (LB81)
Description: Our Spanish baby squids are caught sustainably (jig caught) off the costs of Spain . Each squid is cleaned, processed and stuffed full with its own tentacles, then blanched in hot water and bathed in traditional squid ink sauce before being packed one by one individually into their La Brújula cans. The sauce that the squids are bathed in is made with 100% natural squid ink and 100% Spanish products (onion, pepper, tomato, etc.), it is made with the same traditional recipe passed down in every Spanish household and kitchen.
Taste: Each squid is chosen specially based on their size and quality. So the taste and texture of each squid is uniform and perfect. The squids are soft and almost melt in your mouth, while the tentacles are packed full of seafood flavour. The Black ink sauce will remind you of that traditional homemade sauce you had in Spain!
How to prepare: The squids are ready to eat right out of the tin with minimum or nothing additional needed! That being said, they go best over a nice bed of hot piping rice, or tossed into some aldente cooked pasta. Don’t forget to finish off with a nice bottle of sake or Spanish wine on the side!
