La Brujula Scallops in Sauce – Zamburinas Guisadas – (LB90)
Description: Our Spanish scallops are hand picked sustainably from the Galician estuaries of northern Spain. The scallops are sustainably harvested and freshly processed daily. Each scallop is individually cleaned and shucked before being steamed and later gently poached in a premium of Spanish tomatoes, onions, peppers, spices and wine. Each scallop is then packed individually by hand together with the poaching liquid into their iconic La Brújula’s tins and sleeves before being air flown straight to Singapore.
Taste: Each scallop is plump and juicy. The scallop juices when combined with the traditional sauce gives an additional layer of seafood flavour and smokiness which is unique to Galician cuisine.
How to prepare: The scallops are ready to eat right out of the tin with minimum or nothing additional needed! That being said, they go best on a bed of perfectly cooked Al dente pasta tossed together with finely chopped parsley, a pinch of salt and splash of pepper. Or on a nicely toasted bread, a squeeze of lemon, a pinch of sea salt accompanied by a nice bottle of sake or Spanish wine!
