The World’s Top 3 fishing spots found off the coast of Sanriku. Adjoining Iwate and Aomori Prefectures, the sheer cliffs face the rough unexplored Pacific Ocean. The waters off the Sanriku Coast are extremely rough and is not suitable for aquaculture. As such, the strong Pacific mineral rich waters allows the seafood to get especially wild and healthy!

Kohachiya is a small family run company in Iwate that distributes fresh coastal produce locally. They own part of the suburban coastline along Iwate and harvest uni, abalones, scallops and seaweed. We found this company along our travels and decided it was a must to bring their family speciality products to Singapore, products that have never left Japan!
