Iwamura Daiginjo Rosan Sake comes from the famed legendary Iwamura brewery (Est. 1787) in Iwamura, Gigu prefecture, this brewery is famous for being helmed by the “Lady of Iwamura Castle”.
Iwamura brewery uses its carefully polished 35% yamada nishiki rice to brew its perfected Iwamura Daiginjo Rosan Sake, this polishing and care of the rice results in an achievement of higher quality Daiginjo as compared to other Daiginjo from other breweries. This is also the highest quality Daiginjo brewed at Iwamura brewery ad is known throughout Japan as THE Daiginjo sake for royals, government and high level officials.
It is fragrant and has a rich rice taste to it yet it’s clear and not too sweet. This is easy to drink and great with Japanese seafood cuisine. A really important point to note is that Daiginjo Rosan has a higher alcohol level of 1% – 2% than the usual Daiginjo!
